The story began in 1897 in the small village of Escrennes in the Centre-Val de Loire region, with the great-grandfather of the current managers. The company reinvented itself several times before specialising in tubular products for livestock.

Following in the footsteps of their grandfather and father, Dominique and Didier Jourdain are now the third generation in charge of the business. This succession has made it possible to retain the family values of independence and continuity underpinning the quality associated with the JOURDAIN name.
